Questions about Porsche and E10
Can my Porsche use E10 petrol?
Porsche says E10 is fine for its petrol cars from 1998, with a few listed exceptions. Older ones should use E5.
What if I put E10 in an older Porsche?
A single tank in a non-approved car will not cause damage, according to UK government advice. Fill up with E5 next time and keep using E5.
Where do I find E5 for my Porsche?
In the UK, E5 is sold as the "super" or "premium" unleaded grade (97+ octane) at most larger filling stations. Check the E5 label on the pump.
How else can I check my Porsche?
Look for an E10 label inside the fuel filler flap, check the owner's handbook, or ask a Porsche dealer.
