Does the UK data apply in France?
Yes, in general. The manufacturer statements in our checker (52 car makes, 12 motorcycle makes) cover models sold in Europe. France's official list is published by the Ministry for Ecological Transition (last updated 2012). For imports from outside Europe (for example U.S. cars), ask the manufacturer.
Wrong fuel?
One tank of E10 in a non-approved petrol car is not an emergency. You don't need to drain it; fill up with SP95 or SP98 next time. See what to do after the wrong fuel.
Rental cars
Rental cars in France are almost always recent models approved for E10. Check the label inside the fuel flap.
